How is the Gold Become Dim: The Decline of the Presbyterian Church in the United States as Reflected in its Assembly Actions by Morton H. Smith (PDF download)

$5.00

The Steering Committee for a Continuing Presbyterian Church commissioned Dr. Morton Howison Smith to study the actions taken by the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church in the United States (PCUS), and to produce a manuscript outlining where those actions deviated from the clear teaching of Scripture. This book is the product of that original labor. An important piece of history in and of itself, How is the Gold Become Dim is also a dispassionate (but altogether damning) indictment of the PCUS in its apostate condition as early at 1973, when the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) was founded to preserve a continuing confessional Presbyterian witness in the United States of America.

Author

Dr. Morton H. Smith (1923-2017; ThD, Free University of Amsterdam) was founding professor of Reformed Theological Seminary (RTS), founder of Greenville Presbyterian Theological Seminary(GPTS), and the first Stated Clerk of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA).
