John Moore was the first pastor of what became the First Presbyterian Church of Newtown, Elmhurst, Queens, New York, one of the oldest Presbyterian congregations in America. He was buried in the ancient town burying ground in Newtown, but those buried there were re-interred elsewhere in the early 20th century, when the land was converted into a playground. It is not currently known where his body rests.
