Proposals for the establishment of a Georgia Education Society and a Domestic Missionary Society were presented and constitutions for both were adopted, rules for adding new members to the presbytery were also proposed, and a report of the Hopewell Presbytery was prepared and sent to the General Assembly of the church.

Minutes log documenting meetings held between April 3rd, 1828 and October 9th, 1830 of the Hopewell presbytery. Various trials and ordination sermons for prospective new members were presented. A committee was assembled to write a book on the history of the Presbyterian church in Georgia. Missionaries were sent to the Cherokee Indians in Georgia. The presbytery pledged temperance but one member, Reverend William Moderwel, repeatedly failed in this oath and was suspended indefinitely from ministerial work. A theological seminary with a professorship was proposed for Columbia, South Carolina.

The presbytery approved an endowment for a professorship at the theological seminary and created a committee to collect books for the seminary. Reverend William Moderwel was reinstated after a six year suspension for intemperance. It was resolved that infant baptisms should continue in the church and Dr. Thomas Goulding was charged with composing a report on baptism from which tracts were to be printed and distributed to the ministry. Reverend William Moderwel was accused of separating from his wife and after a lengthy trial was found guilty and stripped of his ministerial duties. A letter, to be published in the Charleston Observer, on the state of religion in the area, was read.

Minutes log documenting meetings held between April 3rd, 1834 and October 7th, 1841 of the Hopewell presbytery. Various trials and ordination sermons for prospective new members were presented. The Presbytery took the Midway Seminary under its care from the Georgia Education Society and later resolved to found a Presbyterian College at Midway. After rumors that the abolitionist cause would be taken up by the General Assembly, the Hopewell Presbytery issued a statement in support of the institution of slavery. A resolution urging members to avoid dancing was passed and the question of how to fill ministerial vacancies was taken up.

A trial was held for Alexander N. Cunningham after being accused of plagiarizing sermons. The problem of supply of destitute churches with ministers was encountered on multiple occasions. The Washington Female Seminary was placed under the care of the presbytery, a report in support of parochial schools was written, and pledges were made to fully endow Oglethorpe University.

Trials were undertaken against Reverends E. P. Rogers and John U. Parsons. The presbytery resolved to strengthen the Sabbath School Instruction Union, to continue missions to African slaves in Georgia, and to open an institution for the education of the blind.

Minutes log documenting meetings held between February 8th, 1860 and April 18th, 1866 of the Hopewell presbytery. Various trials and ordination sermons for prospective new members were presented. Reports on domestic missions and on the state of religion were presented. The religious instruction of "colored people" was raised and it was eventually resolved to license "colored" ministers and preachers. At the opening of the American Civil War the presbytery voted to sever ties with the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of the United States of America and align with the Confederacy.
